RUN OF ABOUT 450 MILES OVER CHRISTMAS

(1) Some part of the steering, most probably the pivots, tighten up after about 50 miles and the car becomes harder and harder to steer, finally having no self centring in the middle at all.
(2) The fire extinguisher rattles all thetime.
(3) The head lamp dipper switch is impossibly heavy to operate and should be altered or changed for another type.
(4) The clutch thrust race is noisy and there is no rubber stop between the clutch pedal and the floor boards. On bad roads the pedal thumps against the boards.
(5) When hot there is a noticeable half crankshaft period particularly in the indirect gears.
(6) The full throttle thump at low speed is more than a customer would tolerate when pulling up hill on 3rd. or 2nd. gear.
(7) The engine misfires below 750 revs. when pulling continuously.
(8) The brakes are excellent but there are slight squeaks from the operating mechanism.
(9) On two occasions there was a loud transmission squeak when cold which appears to come from the gearbox and which has been pointed out to Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} previously.
(10) The cross steering tube fouls the radiator over-flow pipe.
(11) When the car is jacked up, the pressure in the jacks drives the pump backwards and slowly lets the car down. The pump handle is uncomfortably near the bijur pedal.
(12) On large bumps such as a level crossing the ignition control comes back several notches and at the same time the steering column gives a large kick sideways.
