Dear Sirs,

The writer understands that you have been discussing with Mr. W.A. Robotham the question of adopting a new type of radiator matrix for your production, and that he has recommended the American Harrison type of core to you, although you are contemplating using the Gallay type.

We ourselves use the Harrison type of core (as invented and developed by the Harrison Radiator Corporation of America) and fitted to all General Motors' cars including Vauxhalls, because we are of the opinion that it is the best matrix obtainable from the point of view of heat dissipation per unit of matrix weight and heat dissipation per unit of matrix volume. This type of matrix is made for us by Messrs. John Marston & Co. of Wolverhampton, and tests which they have carried out and which we have carried out ourselves have convinced us of the merit of this type.

There are several variations of the core, that known as the Mk.V, is standard production on our Bentley and 25/30 HP. cars at the moment, while the Mk.VI type (which is a later and improved core) is on production on our Phantom III cars.

However Marstons are not yet quite ready to supply this Mk.VI core in large production quantities. There is a strong possibility that they will get into production shortly with a later and even more improved matrix (Mr. Dunn, their radiator Dept. Manager is returning from America shortly, where he has been weighing up the merits of the various types of matrix available)
