To EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Seddon Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} X204 E.3/HP.25.7.33. 3½ litre Bentley - Coachwork fixing of the front seats. With reference to the front seats coming loose on the Bentley bodies, we have other experiences where this has occurred due to the fixings carrying the slide rails of the seats being secured to the floorboards with wood screws. There is little doubt that some improvement is necessary here, such as, bolting right through the wood with large area washers under the bolt heads to spread the bolt pressure.
