X7776 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}7/LGl1.3.29. 21-EX CAR. X4663 The following troubles have manifested themselves on this car on test :- (1) Clutch will not stop. (2) Servo gears noisy. (3) Engine gears noisy. (4) Brake pedal travel too great, and brakes inefficient. We should be obliged if you could examine the clutch when the gearbox is dismantled for fitting the dampers. The servo gears at the same time might receive attention. It would not appear feasible to do anything to the timing gears in the time at our disposal. We hand you herewith the friction material with which we should like you to line the servo to see if we can improve the braking. We understand that the rear axle is to be changed for the stiffer casting; on this road test it appears to be audible. Will you please black stove enamel the head of the small air hand-pump for the K.S. Telegage which is at present fitted to the instrument board. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
