X1325 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.12/KW. 11th January, 1936. Messrs. W. & T. Avery, Ltd., Soho Foundry, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, We are requiring 4 weighing machines for measuring the load on each wheel of a car at the same time. It is intended that the machines should be sunk so that the platforms are level with the ground. The maximum load required would be one ton and the platform displacement should be small. We are also requiring a spring testing machine for measuring loads of laminated springs and coil springs. The coil springs go up to 6,000 lbs. load. In connection with these items the writer proposes topay you a visit on Monday afternoon, the 13th inst., when he would like to discuss and see various machines. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
