RC{R. Childs}/GJ Please note and action. To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EC. 6119. BY/PD.7/R.21.12.38. LUBRICATION OF CONTACT BREAKER CAMS : ALL CHASSIS. Will you please arrange for all the experimental distributors to be lubricated on their cams with Mobil Grease No.2, since this grease is alleged to maintain its lubricating qualities in the presence of nitrous oxide. Vaseline and low melting temperature greases are thought to lose their lubricating qualities leaving only a residue of metallic soap. Vaseline is apparently quite satisfactory providing there is plenty of ventilation and low temperature. BY/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
