360 W/S. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}3/R.17.2.38. TRIALS CAR - 3.CP.10. As promised on the 3.0'clock call yesterday, this car left the Works yesterday evening. The work which we did on it was:- (1) Fitted the carburetter modification, which has already been done on your other four cars, and set the idling speed to 350 r.p.m. (2) Owing to the Propeller Shaft being badly out of balance we fitted one of the latest variety with the sliding joint at the rear. The one taken off can be modified and used in the Repair Dept. (3) Cured a knock in the nearside rear shock damper by fitting a new piston. (4) Adjusted the brakes. No other work was found necessary on the car. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
