SEALING OF HUBS. P.2 & 25 HP.

There is an old instruction started by BJ. that the hubs of our cars should be sealed. We believe it arose from a case where the wheel came off, and we claimed that it had been taken off and not replaced properly. We could, of course, go round the car and find a number of other points which might cause serious trouble if they were dismantled and not put back properly. We are still left in the position that if the wheel itself is not fixed on properly it can still come off. It is rather difficult for us to justify supplying tools to take off the wheel and then expect the customer not to do it. We must expect customers to remove wheels, and therefore I think it is an unnecessary expense to continue with the sealing of road wheel hubs.
