WOLSELEY SALOON - Mileage 627.

Engine Very smooth. O.H.V. Engine. Tappets rather noisy. Not a very lively performer but no fuss.

Gear Box 4 speed, synchro-mesh 2nd, 3rd and top. All gears passable for noise.

Rear Axle Generally good but a slight trace of noise on the over-run.

Steering Very good and light. An adjustable column which is a very useful feature on a small car. The rake of the column has been admirably adjusted so that when it is fully extended the steering wheel is not on a level with the driver's eyes!

Springing Good - the car is fairly steady on corners.

Brakes Lockheed - very smooth, light and good. Handbrake situated between the seats and operates on the rear drums only.

Body Very comfortable and well-finished. Wooden fillets, etc. The upholstery is Dunlo-pillo and the front seats are wide enough to give the impression of a really large car seat. Luggage space in the rear boot is fair and the "parcel room" in the body quite good. Front seats are adjustable for both rake and length.

Acceleration figures. 10-30 m.p.h. in top - 16.2/5 secs. 0-50 " through the gears - 30 secs.

MORRIS SALOON - Mileage 8306.

Engine Noisy on low speeds. O.H.V. engine. Good starting from the cold and smooth at speed although propeller shaft vibration set up at 58 m.p.h.

Gear Box 4 speed, synchro-mesh 2nd, 3rd and top. Smooth action but gears crash if used quickly. All the gears passable for noise.

Rear Axle Quiet at all speeds.

Steering Light and pleasant to handle. Riding remarkably good and the car really very steady on corners in spite of soft springs.

Brakes Lockheed - good and smooth. Handbrake situated between front seats.
