-5- (13) Remarks :- Failed after 5 3/4 hrs on test. Symptoms - secondary short circuit (14) Results of examination of windings. Secondary winding in very good condition. Evenly wound with no evidence of air spaces. No really definite evidence was found of failure although when half the secondary winding was unwound the coil still shewed a breakdown. What was thought to be evidence of failure was found on the end of the second layer and in any case it is certain the fault had occurred in the lower layers of the secondary winding. The Primary winding was OK with no evidence of charring. H.E.W. | ||
