TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} & BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M1.1.27. X. 7525 X. 5335 INSULATED BOX FOR BATTERY CONNECTIONS ON THE FRAME. With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG301226., we are quite in agreement with the policy of not fitting a separate insulated junction box, if you are agreed that it is unnecessary. We should like to point out however that on the 20HP. battery in the frame there is a junction box mounted on the battery box itself, and it was because we could not reproduce this on the EAC. 7. type of battery that we suggested that it would be desirable to have a separate junction box on the frame, so that long lengths of wire would not have to be dealt with when handling the battery. If in practice you find that this is no objection, and that the system is simpler without, we quite agree to its deletion. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
