On our return from W.S. we called at London to see whether we could try a Voisin car with a magnetic controlled double top. We went to several places but it is evident that there is no such car in England. There were a number of Voisin cars on which the double top is operated by induction pipe depression. We are obtaining particulars of how this works. We also endeavoured to try a Graham Paige car fitted with a synchro-mesh to a four speed gearbox with a silent third but there are none of these cars at present in England. We also called at General Motors to get particulars of the Buick arrangement. We have arranged with them to buy a set of the Buick synchro mesh pieces. We have also got a complete description. As soon as the parts arrive we will send them on to W.S.. From the General Motors we also got the address of Mr. Constantine, who looks after all the patents in Europe. We are asking By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} to get into touch with him as regards who owns the patent and what the royalties would be in case we ever use this device. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
