OUR REF. Your Ref.
TPS/MW. BY19/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For attention of R.W. Harvey Bailey, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 15th ult., asking for two American type K-S gauges to your blueprint enclosed in that letter, we are happy to inform you that these gauges arrived in our Works from America on Saturday morning last, and we are completing same; calibrating for your English model 40/50 h.p. tank, (our drawing K.S.480.P) and they will be despatched to you first thing tomorrow morning.

As the matter is so urgent, we have not altered the position of the fixing straps, as we thought it would be best for you to do this on the board when installing the gauges.

If there is sufficient time, and you would wish us to alter these straps, rather than you alter the fixings, upon the return of the gauges we will do so.

The alteration in the position of the fixing strap has been caused by the fact that the oil gauge, with pressure balance connection, has the strap fixed in this position, and the petrol gauge at a different angle.

It is the oil gauge bodies which have had to be utilized for this job to incorporate the equalizer connection which is not standard on the petrol gauge in the American model.

We remain, Dear Sirs,
Yours faithfully,
H.M. HOBSON LIMITED. (signed) T.P.Searight. Jt. Mng'g.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Director.
