It should be noted that the power curve of the 110º camshaft was taken with the nozzle E.77799 fitted in the induction pipe, whereas the curve of the 116º shaft was taken without it. As the absence of the nozzle improves the power at high speeds, the curve for the 110º shaft would probably assume the position shown in lighter dotted line, under these conditions, hence this curve should be used for a strict comparison. The eccentric drive of the vacuum pump shews slight signs of insufficient lubrication (after 26 hrs. running). This point will be carefully watched for further trouble. The ease with which the tappets may be adjusted would be improved by the adoption of a finer thread on the ball end of the rockers; the present one demands very careful handling to effect an accurate setting.
