For the attention of Commdr. Matravers. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letters of the 11th and 14th inst. With reference to the revised cam to M.2251, we note that it should not be used with outside contacting rollers. We assume from this that, with the inside contacting rollers which we intend to use, the clearance between the cam and the outside flanks of the roller will not be the same as with the original cam to M.22166. Will you please let us know whether this clearance will be greater or less than previously, and by how much it will differ.
