VANVOOREN BODY - B.23.AE.

We have received your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 16/KW 10.9.35.

We received the Vanvooren bodied Car late last night. The Chassis was in a poor condition, Steering was unselective and not stable. The Springs are anchored at the front.

With this system, it is imperative that the Axle controls should be set correctly. We find that it is very susceptible to the Axle controls. They were hopelessly out of adjustment. The Servo was rusted up and binding, no front braking, no lubrication to Dampers.

It has a high Axle ratio which gives a poor performance on acceleration. Springing is too weak for Continental Roads. Dampers seem to be down in poundage.

The Body is free from rattles. There are one or two creaks which Vanvoorens know about.
To-day has been spent in getting the Chassis somewhat runable.
