contd :- -2- has been pared down to the last ounce. Cannot we make a determined effort to save 40 lbs. on the rear springs; we are proposing to order all the sports car rear springs of the same poundage, is it not worth while taking a strong line with the spring makers? Although we emphasized this point in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG14.11.27. we have heard nothing as to whether the spring makers agree that our theoretical weights reduction is possible, and if so why they have made no effort to bring about the reduction on the springs with which they have since supplied us. The 10,000 miles sports car is about to start but we have no re-designed rear springs to test on it. Could you please let us know what is being done in the matter.
