ENCLOSED BODY. X.8830.

You will see by CJ's reply (CJ9/E2.10.24) to R's
memo. that at present we are not allowed to order a closed
body for EAC.2. On the other hand we take it that your demand
for such a body is still as urgent.

We therefore make the following suggestion :-

That a 40/50 std. chassis be provided with a
dashboard similar to EAC.2. and a raised bonnet and radiator
to correspond, (this we often do for special customers). We
could buy a body for this chassis which we could mount on an
EAC. chassis. The fact that the joggle on the EAC.2 would be
1" further back would only entail a little packing at this
point. The body would be made to suit the present gear levers,
and therefore the EAC.2. design would easily go in. Due to
the modified width of the frame and wheelbase etc., the wings
and valances would not fit the EAC.2. The following is a
suggestion for obtaining a set of standard pattern wings
suitable for EAC.2. That EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} should suggest to Parkers that
they make us an extra set of wings for the Sports models,
these wings to be not the pointed pattern as now instructed,
but the standard type, stating that we require them for
fear Mr. Royce should not approve of those we at present
propose to fit.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will be at Bales (with C.) on Thursday the
9th.inst. and would like to discuss this suggestion with you
with a view to getting CJ's consent. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}
