By c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} F DODD Any comments? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 404 Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les 6/ER 14.3.39. Bentley V.{VIENNA} Parts to be produced by Park Ward's Ltd., Since it has been decided that Bonnets, Front Aprons, and Centre floorboards should be supplied by Park Ward's Ltd, we suggest that the following further items might also be supplied :- 1. Pedal gap plate. 2. Wing stays. 3. Step irons. 4. Bumper bar extensions - In this case, it should be noted that the Bumper extension is also used for jacking up the car. 5. Side Lamps. All these parts are essentially governed by the body makers, and if they are to be bought with a minimum of scrap and handling costs, we feel that they should be purchased by the coachbuilders. We suggest, therefore, that a section number in 'F' Department should be made to cover all parts which will be supplied by coach-builders, from our detail drawings. We shall expect to have detail costs including tools, for all parts which are supplied by the coach-builders. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
