BRIEF LIFE HISTORY OF P & R 3A. BATTERY.
Received charged 10.12.23.
High rate discharge through constant external resistance of .100 ohm.
Initial amperes= 100.3.
Time to 100 amperes = 1.0 min.
Fitted to a car and started engine 1,600 times on starter motor without charge.
After having run 21,751 miles it gave 44.5 ampere hours at approx. 5 amperes, and on high rate discharge, it ps just passed the test of giving over 100 amperes for 4 mins. Its capacity remained constant at about 42 ampere hours during its life. The battery was then in our bench life test circuit for 12 months. The acid was changed 30.7.26. Cracks were noticed in the cell partitions as reported in JC.69.
