BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/S/M20.2.32. C. to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}E. N. SCHS. FOR BODIES FOR J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. XS 830 The following N. schs. will be sent to you via London, where we have had them printed: N. sch. 3424/25/29/36/37/38. These have been made to enable us to produce the experimental bodies, and have been made entirely from our N. schemes, as Derby have not yet made a coachwork print. We cannot wait if we have to produce the first body by Easter, therefore we are going on with the production of the first body to these drawings, and it will remain for Derby to make the body fit if it does not. We suggest however that our drawings should be carefully checked immediately they arrive in Derby, and that we should be notified of any serious discrepancies. We have in mind the shape of the dashboard, the position of the side levers and their fulcrum, the position of the brake equalising shaft, and position of the battery cross member. Will you please send us 2 prints of each of these drawings and return us the originals of N. schs. 3424. and 3425. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
