Dear Sirs,

This acknowledges your letter of the 12th August, from which we note your observations in regard to our products in so far as your engines are concerned.

In regard to the petrol pump diaphragm failure you mention, this was an exception, since, as we stated in our letter of the 11th August, we have very clear reassurance on the subject from the manufacturers of the two makes we mentioned.

As to the relative anti-knock powers of the two fuels, it is obvious that there must be a divergence of opinion, but the figures stated to you are correct

However, we note your feelings in the matter, and will bear these in mind in the future.

Yours faithfully,

CLEVELAND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS COMPANY
