Exptl: Dept. 28th November, 1935. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}19/KW. Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, Birmingham 1. For the attention of R.B. Turner Esq. Dear Sirs, Our Drawing Office have passed on to us your letter in which you suggest a modification to the Bentley 'A' type stabiliser as per your print No. PD.EXP.2203. We cannot, of course, standardise this until we have subjected it to exhaustive testing, but we are quite willing to give it a trial. We have a car going to France for endurance testing shortly, and we should like to fit to this a bumper incorporating the modification. Will you please send us as soon as possible one Bumper Bar with ends to your PD.EXP.2203, but otherwise standard. The parcel should be marked for the writer's attention. Our Order Office will send you an official order very shortly. Yours truly, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
