BENTLEY V.{VIENNA} GEAR BOX CASING.

Herewith is PD.387 which shews the modified casing, suitable for the Helical 1st. speed and Reverse, and other modifications intended to be incorporated in the final gearbox.

The only part on this drawing not now up to date is the foot for the rear engine mounting, which is to be modified to take the Wraith rear rubber instead of the Bentley, the dies, tools and moulds being available for the former, but not for the latter. This foot is shewn on G.CD.1249. On this drawing are also shewn the bosses required for the damper control linkage. The seal for the second motion shaft end shewn is the simpler of the two proposals, to be tried first.
