a further box from the Experimental Dept., and with this object in view we are asking Archer to complete Frame No: 22, up to the gear box stage.

However, it will be seen that 5 further cars can be built for certain over and above the 7 at present being made in this country, which makes a total of 12 in all.

There is quite a lot of work to be done on these last 5 cars irrespective of the gear boxes and we are asking Archer to submit a programme of when he thinks they can be finished.

We shall be able to release our 2 Experimental gear boxes in June.

The question of bodies for these 12 cars requires consideration, because at the present moment Ward is only contemplating building 12 bodies of the B.V. type in all, two of which will be non-standard and have been allotted to Experimental cars.

Therefore Ward should increase his total commitments of B.V. bodies, to 14, if all the chassis are to be fitted with standard coachwork.
