CLIENTS' CARS ARE DRIVEN BY OUR STAFF AT OWNERS' SOLE RISK & RESPONSIBILITY. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited., Nightingale Road, DERBY. March 7th. 1921. Dear Sirs, Since we supplied you with a sample of our "BRADFORD" Patent spark-plug, on March 18th. 1920, our plug has been greatly improved and we would very much like you to try one of our new models, which we would gladly supply for testing purposes, free of charge. The plug has been re-designed with a view to eliminating any possibility of internal short-circuit, and to do this, we have so constructed the Electrode, that no metal whatever is exposed inside the plug-body. The end of the electrode consists of a pure Nickel disc, which completely covers the opening at the base of the plug, and in this way protects the insulation from the direct action of the hot gasses. A micrometer adjustment allows the spark-gap to be set to a nicety, and we are confident that this plug is a great improvement over any other plug on the market. If you will be so good as to let us know what "reach" of plug your Rolls-Royce cars require, we shall be glad to send a sample plug for your inspection Assuring you of our best attention at all times, We are, Sirs, Yours faithfully, BARRACLOUGHS (Engineers) Ltd., Geo H Barraclough MANAGING DIRECTOR.
