In view of the fact that it will be some time before we get a sample aluminium gear from the States, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} is anxious that P.L.215 should be detailed as soon as possible. At the same time, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JRS should submit figures to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} to show how much better off we may expect to be regarding lower inertia of the Alum gear and relative tooth strength compared with the fabroil gear. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JENKINSON should specify material, as previously arranged. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
