X1278 ? ILLSLEY COMPANY PRECISION AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT MUSKEGON, MICHIGAN "ILLSLEY" PRESSURE COOLING SYSTEMS May 28th 1935 Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Rolls Royce, Ltd. Derby ENGLAND. Dear Sir;- In connection with the unpleasant but true letter which we felt necessary to write you last year concerning Cuno's mis-representations,- The writer had expected to be abroad again this Spring and to then have an opportunity to acquaint you with some of the facts concerning the actual success of our Valves. However as we have been swamped with business, the trip must be deferred. So we are sending the reduced photo fac simile of the attached and self explanatory letter, as being more to the point than anything else in our collection of letters from pleased users. This is partly because you are personally acquainted with the Company, and partly because as you doubtless know, it is rare that they are willing to express themselves in writing in favor of anything. Next,- Armour & Co bought 1500 last Fall, and were so well pleased as to have sent us numerous re-orders this Spring. In view of the fact that fleet operators are the most skeptical of any class of buyers, it is significant that our fleet business has increased nearly 2,000% the past year, and without a cent spent on advertising. Finally,- you may be interested in knowing of 2 new models we are bringing out, as shown by the small photo enclosed. In these there has been no change whatever from the basic diaphragm principle which, in the small model has been somewhat simplified and in the large model somewhat elaborated. Both now have quick-removable seats for easy cleaning. Very truly yours, ILLSLEY COMPANY Lamb P Illsley | ||
