Instructions for positioning and creating two sets of fixed lamp brackets for Phantom headlamps.

PHANTOM HEADLAMPS.

You will have received a copy of Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/M/25.5.28. and have noted that Sales have determined the exact position of the head-lamps on the Riviera Torpedo.

We would be glad if you would set out and send to Sales when made two sets of fixed lamp brackets as follows:-

(1) Lamp centres 15.250 from top of frame.
Distance between lamp centres the same as that of the crossmember sockets.

(2) Lamp centres 15.250 from the top of the frame.
Distance between the lamp centres 28.125.

In case one the brackets will be vertical in the front view.

In case two they will be set, but we suggest that the set be made as far as possible near the top so as to be hidden behind the lamp. These brackets (both sets) are to be made for P.100. type lamps, and sufficient clearance must be allowed between the locking nuts and the radiator. Apparently the brackets will need to lean slightly forward.

On G.2.B. Series, when the radiator is raised one inch, the lamps will go up accordingly.

Whatever position chosen by Sales for the fixed headlamps should be applied also to our dipping lamps for standard use.

The position for the dipping lamps for sports cars will remain as originally instructed.
