- 3 - CWB2/MM.27.1.26. Shock absorbers:- These are OK. They are efficient and have sufficient friction to hold the car at high speeds over bad roads. They require re-adjusting about every 2500 miles. Chassis generally:- This is in good condition. They are too many points at which lubrication is required. The engine undershield does not keep the engine clean, with the roads in the condition they are at present, and large quantities of dirt have also been found in the shield under the clutch casing. This has probably been sucked in there. The exhaust cut out control has been completely jammed by mud. Tyres:- The original tyres are still in use. Two punctures have been experienced so far. They are somewhat badly cut with stones, etc., but are still good for a great many more miles. Everything is now being re-assembled, and running will recommence tomorrow and continue until the program, as approved concerning running in France, is completed. CWB. [Signature] | ||
