Dear Mr. Robotham, I have been asked by Wing Cmdr. G.M. Buxton, Ringway Aerodrome, Manchester, to attend to the necessary contract and development work connected with a full size glider launching winch. I understand that Mr. Vessey, of R.T.D.4 wrote in October last, but that no actual order to proceed was given, but that you may have done some design investigation on your own initiative nevertheless. 2. I have now been requested by Dr. Roxbee Cox to issue the order officially, and I should be obliged, therefore, if you would write and let me know briefly how long you think it will take to produce, and the maximum price for the prototype, assuming such items as the trailer are issued to you on Embodiment Loan. 3. So far as technical details are concerned, will you please consult Wing Cmdr. Buxton. Yours truly, H.I.Cogan. Wing Commander for Director of Motor & Marine Craft Transport. Mr. Robotham, Messrs.
