Cylinder Inserts. ------------------- Referring to your recent pencil memo on the above, we do not think that the information Leyland's give us is of very much assistance because they did not complete their application, therefore it was never published. The cited specifications are also of doubtful value. However, we are putting the whole matter before our agents again and will report to you in due course. Meantime it would be very valuable if we could discover that Leyland's had published the subject matter of their uncompleted application in any way ; for instance, did they ever make and sell an engine so equipped or was the arrangement ever described in any published matter?
