We have carried out tests on hardened splines and white metal splines on Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine). We attach curves which show the results we have obtained. It will be observed that the white metal splines running in steel are actually a disadvantage. We are not yet satisfied that we have done the best possible with the splines and are carrying out further tests. He/Ha. | ||
