Hancock - Head Chateauroux} [Note: 'To' is struck through] c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 261(3) Re Chassis B-70-EF. Mileage 29,356. Rear Axle Shaft Failure. I am forwarding to you the broken portion of the nearside driving shaft from the above chassis. I have gone through the history of this car, and cannot find any proof of rough driving. The car changed ownership after 4,000 miles. It will be noticed on the driving dog there are signs of binding due to bending of the axle tube. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
