- 2 - BY3/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 30.12.24. R.{Sir Henry Royce} will then consider whether it is advantageous to use the balloon tyres if a wobble still persists, and if so, he will of course introduce damping factors to keep the amplitude of the wobble and bounce within very small limits, so that it will not build up and become dangerous. On a large car like ours it is very doubtful whether the advantages to be gained by the balloon tyres would justify the introduction of certain other factors which would of course have their own detrimental effects in relation to ease of riding and ease of steering.
