Report on S.U. Petrol Pumps off 3-AX-99.

These were obtained for examination, the report being that one side had failed. This was evident on the test rig.

When examined the armature had been fouling the pot, and the pole piece was .008 out of centre, causing the rollers to wear. The other unit was in good condition the pole pieces being central and no roller wear had taken place. We have tried up the eccentric pole piece with the end cutter we have had made for this operation and fitted new rollers. The test dept. are keeping the pump for further running and observation.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/J.B.Dixon.
