Checking for electrical irregularities using voltmeter readings from the chassis and battery.

After taking the voltmeter readings from the various points of the chassis frame as described, a check that conditions have not seriously altered can be obtained by again taking the potential of the positive terminal of the battery (to frame, as before). These figures would indicate to us whether any irregularity existed and the location of such irregularity in the system, and we suggest that it would be worth while taking them after the customer has again been provided with a machine.
