20.HP. CHASSIS MATERIAL.
--------------------

The question of modifications to be included in the next series has been considered by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and it has been decided that only the following improvements will be included:-

Spring Drive.
-------------

The material should be ordered up for the improved non-serrated type as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will get the Standardization Sheet completed before the Works commence machining.

Cylinder.
----------

The cylinder block should be made to suit the new spring controlled fan drive, that is, the facing for the fan bracket should be made as shewn on the L&C. for this scheme. The standardization sheet has already been issued and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hopes to get it completed in a very short time.

The cylinder head covers should be made to suit 1.125 water connection.

We should instruct Vellumoid washer E.52557. for fitting between the cylinder and crankcase.

It is not proposed to make any further alterations to the Cylinder section other than the above excepting that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} proposes to urge the standardization sheet for the new coil position and after this the complete cylinder head and cover will have to be altered to suit the new wiring scheme for battery and magneto ignition, but in the meantime the present type cylinder head and valve rocker cover should be instructed.

Valves and Fittings.
--------------------

stiffer Rocker Shaft E.51866 should be instructed.
