contd :- -2- and to give us all the help they can. We cannot afford to leave any stone unturned in order to make a 100% job of the central lubrication. We should like to have your opinion on this point. As regards 18-EX, will you please write to R.{Sir Henry Royce} direct at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence and let him have the approximate date on which you expect to deliver the car. Please let us have a copy of the note you send. Referring to your letter of 18th.Jan. We should like you to realise that the position of the SS.{S. Smith} car is that material is on order and the Works are actually starting production. It is expected to have cars on test at the end of May. We want to have proved all our points by the end of February. We agree that 18-EX has got to be sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} as soon as possible. You will then however have 19-EX to work on. We also are preparing a further car incorporating all the modifications which have been asked for. We are expecting to have this [strikethrough]XXXXXXX[/strikethrough] car ready in about 3 weeks. Before it leaves for France you should satisfy yourself that the points which have given trouble have been corrected, for which we will arrange for you to come here!
