Dear Sir,

I thank you for your letter and the return of my models and drawing relating to the 'JOliver' gearbox. I have moved to Portsmouth to take up an Admiralty appointment so will find it difficult to visit you again but I will be pleased to deal with the matter through the post. I will be interested to hear your reactions to the job when you have had a chance to study it further and will also be pleased to answere any queries. I have a set of prints of the detail drawings and record of materials and heat treatment used and I can lend you any of these or let you know details of any part.

Yours faithfully,
