X3117. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.3/HP.28.7.33. D.W.S. Jacks. In connection with the use of D.W.S. jacks on RR. cars, we have heard that a Phantom 2 so fitted was jacked up on the side of a normal road in this district, and it was found impossible to take off the nearside front wheel. The offside front wheel was well up so it would appear that to remove the nearside wheel it is necessary to jack the car up on the wrong side of the road, and work exposed to the traffic. We should be interested to know what you think about this. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
