To EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from EFC. (Struck through) X3035 EFC3/T2.7.24. RE THERMOMETER FOR BATTERY ELECTROLYTE The temperature of the electrolyte of cells on charge should not, as you know, exceed 100°F, or damage to the active material and loss of cell life occurs, but it is not always easy to take this temperature with an ordinary type thermometer with the elongated mercury bulb. Messrs. Peto & Radford supply a special thermometer for this purpose at a nett trade price of 5/- each. We are ordering up two for the Expl. Dept. and if you think you should have one of these, kindly let me know and I will get them all ordered up together. EFC.
