EFC/AD27.11.39 contd. -2- for complaints of sticking. We have also on test on an experimental car, a sample Ferranti chassis ammeter, the second sample we have had. The first had to be returned for a fault. Our experience of Ferranti instruments of this type generally, has not been very satisfactory, whereas that of the Park Royal so far has been quite good. Technical considerations being the same, commercial considerations would no doubt favour Ferranti. As it does not appear necessary at the moment to have a second reserve, we have decided not to ask Messrs. Ferranti to put us up six instruments in our standard finish, i.e. until we have gone a bit further with with Park Royal instruments in the matter of experience of their general behaviour. EFC. | ||
