X7120. PN.{Mr Northey}1/WT22.2.32. S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}...from PN.{Mr Northey} 27-EX. This car gave me a very good ride to London on Friday last from W. I like it more than I anticipated I should. Fast average speed running however was not so much influenced by engine power as by poor power of deceleration. One has to stand on the brakes very hard, and I do not consider them very effective. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} are coming out on the car with me on Thursday for a further run, and I should like to hear from you by return whether there is anything we can simply do to these brakes to make them more effective. Thank you for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ17.2.32, being list of modified parts. PN.{Mr Northey} [STAMPED] RECEIVED 23 FEB 1932 | ||
