In order to prevent engine oil from leaking into the clutch pit via the rear bearing it is necessary to produce a greater pressure in the clutch pit than exists in the engine crankcase. This can be done by the following means, and it is important that all production Bentley cars are so fitted. (1) Delete the large ventilation hole from over the starter motor housing. (2) The drain hole under the starter motor should be .250" diameter. (3) Clutch pit inspection cover to Ex.10302; sample handed to 'By' herewith. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J.
