PHANTOM II. STEERING. X.7430.

We wish to try a friction device on the P.II. steering column similar to what we tried some four years back on P.I. and 20 HP. Will you please arrange to alter L.F.959 so that it is suitable for a P.II. steering column. We are not interested in the self centreing spring which is incorporated in this scheme, so this should be deleted. We still have a complete P.I. column with the scheme fitted up, therefore it will facilitate matters to use as many of the existing parts as possible. Will you please give this job your earliest possible attention as it is extremely urgent.
