Re Watford Magnetos for 40/50HP.

Referring to our telephone conversation of yesterday when we informed you that EFC. had sent two New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I type Magnetos across to us, which it was suggested should be placed into R.D. Stock, we now give you the information as to the numbers of these Magnetos which are -

84484 and 77606 Green Base type.

Our opinion regarding the taking into stock of Magnetos which may eventually give trouble on account of noisiness, is that it would be inadvisable for us to take the machines over, and we suggest that they should be handed over to the Department in the Works which is we understand collecting this type of Magneto, until there are sufficient for a batch to be sent away to the Makers for modification to the latest quietened type.

We believe they could then be used either for production or repair stock.

For the present we are returning the Magnetos to EFC. and shall be glad if you will let both EFC. and ourselves have your views on this matter.
