X 30146 EFFECT OF CHANGING POSITION OF CONTROL BRUSH ON BALANCING SPEED OF LUCAS E.575 DYNAMO. X4211

Original position of control brush - makers' setting. (Makers setting is .3" advance from fully retarded position).

Balancing speed 590 at 12.4 volts.

Effect of fully retarding is to reduce the cutting in speed very slightly, if anything, i.e. to 585 R.P.M.

Effect of advancing brush by .1 from makers setting - no change.

Effect of .2 advance - no change.

" " .3 " - speed slightly increased, i.e. to 605 R.P.M.

" " .4 " - speed 615 R.P.M.

" " .5 " - speed 632 R.P.M.
