| 262. Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}9/MH.{M. Huckerby} 6th. June, 1939. Metropolis Garages Ltd., Maclise Road, LONDON, W.14. For the attention of Mr.L.F.Dyer. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 2nd. inst. and have since received the large heat exchanger. Owing to pressure of other work we shall be unable to actually test it out, but comparing its capacity with that of the original heat exchanger, we would say that it is of ample capacity to regulate the water temperature of the Phantom Ill unit. For the same reason we are afraid we cannot under-take any work in regard to the fitting of the special gearbox and drive; however, we will always do what we can in respect of advice and drawings etc. of the unit parts, if you have any difficulties. Under the circumstances, therefore, the unit is ready for despatch and we should be obliged if you would let us know whether we are to pack it in a case, and to what address we should send it or whether Mr. Hall intends to collect it. Additionally, we should like to know where to return the larger exchanger or if it is to be packed in with the unit. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
