X 4152 X.3888 Please receive herewith two blue prints of "N" Scheme 665 shewinf how we should propose to fit the Number Plate and the rear lamp to the petrol tank, in this chassis, having the level indicator at the rear. It will be seen that two positions are given for the Number Plate and the lamp, namely, above the indicator and below it. The position above is preferable, provided no luggage grid is fitted, but if a luggage grid is fitted a certain difficulty is experienced in getting at the reserve fuel device on the petrol tank. We have asked Mr Royce whether he will have a luggage grid or not, and on receipt of his reply it will be possible to determine where the Number Plate should go. In the meanwhile we think that both schemes should be detailed as the time available is short. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [STAMP: RECEIVED] | ||
